Meet Jon Penn

Where Healthcare Experience Meets Public Service

Jon Penn’s campaign is built around listening, service, and practical solutions to the real challenges facing District 36.

Why I'm Running?
Dr. Jon Penn Junejo, DNP, Psychiatry-BC, is running for the Nevada State Assembly to expand access to mental healthcare, strengthen public education, and support real economic stability for working families. After years working on the frontlines of healthcare, he has seen how often systems fail the people they’re meant to serve—and believes Nevada deserves leadership focused on solutions that work in practice, not just in theory.
Why District 36?
District 36 is one of the most diverse districts in Nevada—stretching from rural communities in Nye County, including Pahrump, to rapidly growing areas in Clark County such as Summerlin West, Skye Canyon, and Blue Diamond. While these communities look different on the surface, the underlying challenges are closely connected. Dr. Jon has spent his career working in both rural and urban healthcare settings, giving him direct experience with the gaps this district faces on both sides.
What I believe
Leadership should start with listening. Whether you are a Democrat, Republican, independent, or somewhere in between, you deserve representatives who focus less on ideology and more on the real issues affecting daily life—healthcare access, education quality, and the ability to build a stable future.

People should not have to hit crisis before someone listens.

Nevada families should not have to travel hours or wait weeks to receive basic mental health or primary care services. We need stronger local systems, faster access to treatment, and expanded crisis support across District 36.
